Meet the Lunagals (alumnus): Andrea
![]() |
Hi all, I’m Andrea and I’ve been with the Lunapads team for about a month now.
I grew up in a very small town in BC as the oldest of three girls, and moved to Vancouver when I was seventeen.
I’ve always been interested in just about everything: In college, I shifted focus from creative writing, to philosophy, to math, to literature… and finally landed unexpectedly in fashion arts, and found for the first time that both my left-brain and right-brain were satisfied! I’ve been working in the local fashion scene ever since, as a production manager. It’s been exciting to find a career that combines many of the things I’m passionate about: small business, local economies, creative problem solving, working with people, and even excel spreadsheets!
Working here at Lunapads has been really great so far- it’s a good feeling to work for a company that shares so many of your own personal values.
When I’m not working, I usually spend my time working in the garden, sewing in my studio, or spending time with the people who are important to me.
A few things about me: I’m a podcast junkie, I don’t like chocolate, and I swear I can be cured of any illness under the sun by my mother’s stewed tomatoes. I collect children’s literature and folktales, and I have a soft spot for anything that captures the magic of childhood. I plan to be a mother one day, and I hope to teach in one way or another, at some point in my working life.
