Hang out with the Lunagals!

There are a couple of cool local events coming up where the Lunagals will be hanging out: want to join us?

Opportunity #1: Volunteers wanted May 11-13!

We need a few volunteers to help out at EPIC sustainable living expo, May 11-13 in Vancouver. Do you love Lunapads and answering questions from curious fence-sitters about them? This could be the gig for you! It will be a rockin’ consumer show showcasing 300 of Vancouver’s most progressive businesses, and many featured events, including seminars on stylish, sustainable living.  Show up for us and you will get free admission to the show as well as a few Lunapads goodies. Contact komara@lunapads.com if you’re interested.

Opportunity #2: Add your voice to a global conversation April 28th!

Lunapads is a proud sponsor of the Vancouver Global Women’s Summit on April 28th, one of  1000 locations worldwide that will be participating.

At each Global Women’s Summit 3 local leaders/experts will speak, identifying and offering solutions to the women’s issues in their community/nation. Additionally, participants will discuss the following 3 things that are important to all women in all nations:

  1. How can we acknowledge our similarities and respect our differences? (Discussing how women are alike and how they’re different is a wonderful foundation upon which to understand each other better.)
  2. How can we strengthen women’s roles for increased peace and development in communities, nations, and the world? (Women know how they want their roles strengthened.)
  3. How can women live in greater dignity and contribute to the well-being of other women in their communities, nations, and in the world? (This issue varies widely from country to country.)

There will also be exhibits by other fine local businesses (including Lunapads of course), a delicious lunch, and abundant networking opportunities.

We have 6 tickets available (retail value $97 each!) to give away. For a chance to join us, please comment below, telling us why you’d like to be part of the conversation. This contest is now closed.

Thanks and hope to see you soon!

  • I would love to be part of any conversation that includes increasing women’s visibility, voice and role in our communities.  In many spaces, issues of difference are rarely discussed which often lead to little progress, so engaging with powerful and inspirational women in this community and discussing and acknowledging our differences sounds like an incredibly valuable experience with enormous potential for change.  I want to know how to engage and encourage young women and girls in our community to help initiate and be a part of these changes.

I’m a strong advocate for women’s professional development through networking and mentorship, and have participated in a variety of like events and conferences in the past. Of course, having had the opportunity to see the growth of Lunapads in the past few years has been nothing short of inspiring, and I am a passionate advocate of bringing more women on board with the product’s positive health message and sustainability.

My partner Arian and I just launched Netteworks on March 8th of this year. The organization is all about empowering everyday women with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their goals. We are very keen and eager to network and meet more like minded strong women who we could look up to as role models. This would be an amazing opportunity for us to endulge and learn and grow from. We would be very grateful and it would do amples in teaching us how to develop our organization.

Sanaz, we are thrilled that you and Arian will be attending the GWS event. Can I get your and Arian’s surnames for the guest list?
