discount coupons and other ways to save money on lunapads

Who doesn’t love a good deal? While you are going to save money no matter what with Lunapads and the DivaCup in the long term, I thought that it might be fun to create a list of all the ways that you can save even more when you shop with us. Here we go!

1. Sign up for our monthly newsletter. It’s easy, and not only will you get a $5 off coupon sent immediately to your inbox, you will be officially in the loop about all our fantastic monthly specials, new products, contests, giveaways, calls for sample testers and (to use Lunagal Sara’s term) random awesomeness.

2. Join our Facebook Page, and follow us on Twitter.Β  Similar great offers to the newsletter, only you get to know even faster!

3. Talk to us on our blog. This is where we post most of our giveaways, and all you have to do for a chance to win is post a comment. Subscribe via RSS or you might miss out!

4. Read awesome magazines like BUST, Mothering and Bitch. Watch for exclusive discount promo codes in the Lunapads ads!

5. Buy 3 or more of your faves. Receive discounts of $1 each with pad + liner sets of Lunapads, and $2 each for Lunapanties when you buy 3 or more.

6. Consider purchasing a Lunapads or DivaCup Kit. Our unique customized Kits help take the guesswork out of buying, and also save you 5-15%!

7. Don’t stop there: get $3 off a Moon Pad Bag when you purchase any Kit (includes DivaCup Kits – woot!)

8. In a similar vein, save $1 off Divawash when you purchase a DivaCup or DivaCup Kit.

7. Start a Buying Club with your Lunagal-pals. Buying Clubs receive 20% off every order of $300 or more.

8. Skip the shipping: Vancouver types can choose the “local pickup” option (you get to visit us!), and don’t forget that shipping is free for North American orders over $75.

9. Get a period makeover in our blog! Tell us what you’re currently using and what your cycle and lifestyle are like, and the Lunagals will work their makeover magic. Chosen entries receive a $15 gift certificate.

10. Ask the Period Fairy (verrry nicely, she can be a bit testy sometimes) Seriously – make a wish for any product on our site valued at under $50, and tell her via Twitter (use hashtag #periodfairy) or on our Facebook fan page. Every now and again she just randomly shows up here at Lunapads and grabs a few things for her fans. Wait, is that a fluttering of (organic fleece) wings I hear?

Note: Special discounts and promotions are totaled up in your shopping cart. Click the “Show Discounts Applied” link at the top right once you get there to see how much you’re saving!

Happy shopping, Lunagals!

I’m curious to try the light lunapads. I like to wear panty liners every day, and I think the cloth would be much more comfortable. I wonder if it would still give the fresh, dry feeling a panty liner does even though it’s cloth and like underwear?

  • Jen

Reply to Heather – I love my panty liners. I probably have ordered too many (is that possible?) because the designs are so nice, but I have enough panty liners and pads to make it for a month without doing laundry.

My first reaction on the first day I wore the panty liners was “these are thicker than what I’ve been buying all these years”. The extra thickness (compared to the ultra thin liners and pads on the market now) is not even an issue anymore for me. I guess I got used to it, and it is easier to get used to because its fabric.

In regard to your fear they won’t feel as dry as the disposable panty liners – I haven’t had this problem at all. And really, if I feel like I want to change a panty liner during the day, the fact that it snaps on instead of sticks on is a huge bonus. Before, if I was having a really sweaty day, it was impossible to get the disposable panty liner to stick to my underwear. Now, that isn’t an issue and it is almost as good as a mid day underwear change.

I’m really happy with the material that the pads are made from. I didn’t realize how great fleece could be! I always thought of fleece as good for blankets and jackets, but it makes a great panty liner too. And the Lunapads staff have picked the best designs (part of the reason why I have purchased so many).

I wish you luck and I hope you feel the confidence about the products to make the switch πŸ™‚

I just ordered my first Lunapads! I’m so excited! I only ordered a few pantyliners that I plan to use as backup to the DivaCup that I bought last summer. I’m thrilled to know that I am forever done with tampons and I’m only seventeen! I feel really lucky having found the Lunapads website and the DivaCup. For the first time in the five years that I’ve had my period, I am actually looking forward to it! If someone had told me five years ago that I would actually enjoy menstruating, I wouldn’t have believed them. Once my pantyliners arrive, I’m hoping to buy a few maxipads for overnight protection when my DivaCup gets a little bit too full…I hate getting up in the middle of the night to empty it! With a few maxipads, I’ll hopefully get a good nights rest even on my heaviest.

I can’t wait to try out my Lunapads! πŸ™‚

I would love to try the lunapanties… they would be great on my ‘heavy’ days! I also love my pads, minipads, liners, and divacup! Oh the $$ I save every month!! πŸ™‚

I wasn’t sure where to put this but I have an idea for a blog post! I think you should consider talking about Vegetarianism. I think it fits perfectly into being more eco-friendly and body-friendly. Simply by cutting out meat, just like switching to reusable menstrual products, we can have a HUGE impact on our world. Isn’t that what Lunapads is all about? Just a thought!

I really would like to try your pads and pantyliners but I was surprised to see that shipping is $10. That seems like a hefty price for shipping something so small and light. I realize the products ship from Canada but I have had many things shipped from Canada that only cost $4.95 and it was much heavier items. Any help?

    • Christa

      Hi Lydia,

I understand the “sticker shock” that comes along with shipping costs and we’ve tried to keep them as low as possible while still remaining a sustainable business. I invite you to check out the shipping estimate calculator available on or to see what it actually costs us to send even a light packet to the US. You will more than likely discover that even on the smallest of parcels we are still subsidizing the actual cost quite a bit for our customers. (For example, our pantyliner sample costs us $7.80 to send cross-border, but we only ask people to pay $5).

Remember that if you’re located in the US or Canada and your order is $75 or more, shipping is free.

I hope I helped clear up any confusion about our shipping rates. When you’re ready to place your order please go ahead and use the discount code SAVETEN for 10% off your purchase as a thank you for your interest. You can email other questions directly to me if you like (
