Nov 10 2012 Is Malala Day: Please Support Education for Girls
Malala Yousafzai: leader, activist, BBC blogger, shero
The courageous and resilient Malala Yousafzai, a 15 year old Pakistani girl, was savagely attacked last month in an assassination attempt by the Taliban, simply because she wanted to attend school, and is a vocal advocate for this crucial right for all girls.
The Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education has announced 11/10/12 will be Malala Day, when they will be traveling to Pakistan with signatures in hand to in their own words, “make education a reality for all Pakistani children and children around the world.”
Thankfully, Malala is well on the road to recovery. We stand in gratitude for her and support her efforts 110 percent – will you stand strong with us, and lend your support to the girls’ rights to education worldwide?
Every child has a right to an education, and it’s easy to get involved with just a simple click or two. Please click here to Sign the UN’s Malala Day Petition Online today and share this with everyone you know.
