Un-Be-LievableReview by Filthy Tim
I hate to admit it, but I am a messy person. No matter how hard I try, I find that at the end of the day my shirt once again has stains on it. I can't begin to describe the piles of shirts I have kept yet will no longer wear due to relentless stains I can't get rid of. A good friend of mine told my wife about this product and she decided to go Home Hardware and grab us a stick.

To my amazement, I can now wear over 90% of the shirts/pants I had written off which in my opinion saved me a lot more than the $4.99 that we paid for the stick. Also, does this stick ever end?!?!?!?!

I just wish this wonderful product was available when our kids were growing up....would have saved my wife a lot of head ache and effort! (Posted on 7/7/2015)
Works wellReview by Lacey
This works really well as long as I use it as they're going to pre-soak. I would perhaps like it more if it were a gel...but then it wouldn't be what it is, so there ya go. It's worth the buy. (Posted on 1/16/2015)
Valen stop scaring people!Review by lolo
Valen: borax and boric acid ARE NOT the same compound. Perhaps you are confused because Borofax is a common name for boric acid. Please look this up online! Borax and boric acid ARE related compounds. Borax is sodium borate (chemical formula of Na2B4O7). Borax is a SALT of boric acid. Can compare this to table salt (NaCl) which is a salt of hydrochloric acid (HCl - a very strong acid). I WOULD NOT ingest borax or apply it to my skin! However borax can be safely used as a laundry booster and stain remover. When used in laundry, it should be thoroughly rinsed from the laundered items. Borax has been safely used in laundry for many years. Borax is most likely safer than many other stain removers.
Boric acid (chemical formula H3BO3) is a weak acid, not a salt. Boric acid IS used as an insecticide. I have never heard of boric acid being used as a laundry additive. Get your facts straight before you go posting stuff like that online. And so you know I have a Chemistry degree.

Again to anyone Valen may have caused to be concerned about using borax in laundry, borax laundry products should be safe when used according to manufacturer specifications. There is always the possibility of a person having a skin reaction to any product, even one the person has used before with no problems. Acquired sensitivity can happen to anyone. Boric Acid and BoraxReview by BlackMountainDreamer
Ladies, may I point out that boric acid is one of the most effective, and safe, cures for yeast infection? It is deadly when ingested but is the primary ingredient in most naturopathic vaginal suppositories. Even go ahead and ask your regular doctor or OB/GYN. Borax has been used as a laundry booster for years. It is what "grandma" would have suggested. It is astonishing to me how much misinformation gets disseminated online. This product, and its ingredients, looks great to me and I can't wait to try it. (Posted on 11/2/2013)
Valen is right.Review by Cyd
Borax is not VERY toxic in small amounts, but as all women SHOULD be aware, that part of the body is subject to easy absorption and borax has been added to the SVHC list ( Substance of Very High Concern) because it was found to be "toxic for reproduction" and is required to be labeled, in the EU, "May damage fertility" and "May damage the unborn child". So, if you don't care about such things, I suppose you could call Valen an "alarmist". An alternative stain remover is 3% hydrogen peroxide with a drop or two of Dr. Bonner's liquid soap, used immediately after mixing. Awesome stain remover. (Posted on 8/10/2013)
Valen, borax is not the same as boric acidReview by GBabe
Borax is not the same as the toxic insecticide boric acid! Omg. Borax in laundry is fine. Use small doses to test for sensitivity, but again, borax is made of sodium triborate, NOT boric acid. Borax has more in common with baking soda, sodium bicarbonate. Don't get it twisted! (Posted on 6/5/2013)
This product is awesome.Review by Sarah L
@Valen. Wow, way to misinform the public. When I go to the website you posted, the same "doctor" also writes "Now, none of these risks mean that you shouldn't use borax." Borax in small doses should be completely fine. Last I checked a bar of soap won't deposit much. You shouldn't worry too much since you're rinsing it all off in the wash. I'm annoyed at your hysterical review of this awesome product.

I've been using it for years. (one bar for years). It lasts a long time, is eco friendly, and economical. (Posted on 2/16/2013)
BoraxReview by valen
Borax is toxic especially if cleaning organic pads their wold be no point in spending money on organic pads then adding toxic chemicals to the pad the pad is no longer Organic now so just saying. This is what borax does that i found: Borax may also be used to kill roaches, ants, and fleas. In fact, it is also toxic to people. Signs of chronic toxic exposure include red and peeling skin. Ok so you want that close to your vagina I don't think so!!!

"If you do a bit of research, you will find risks associated with all cleaning products, natural or man-made. However, you do need to be aware of product risks so that you can use those products properly. Don't use borax around food, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and make sure you rinse borax out of clothes and off of surfaces before use." - Anne Marie Helmenstine, Ph.D.

Good productReview by Camille
I use this stick when i'm rinsing my pad. It works pretty well, but honestly an easier way to go when you're home is to give your pads a light rinse and throw them in a bucket of cold water for a day to get stains out. It works pretty well with or without the stick. But, if you don't wanna do the soaking thing, this is probably the second most effective method to go with. What I do now is rinse my pad, rub the stick into the stain and throw it in my bucket of cold water for a day. When I rinse it out everything's gone :) Double effective with minimal work! Excellent Product!Review by Gabrielle
I can't say enough about this! I have yet to find a better product. I also haven't come across a stain that this can't remove! A few other bonuses: I love that it seems to last forever and that it is all natural. I've even considered handing them out as gifts! (Posted on 4/3/2012)
On the fenceReview by Ell
I'm on the fence on this one. I haven't had as much success as others using this stick. I find it works really well if you get to the stain right away (I've only used it on blood stains). But once the stain has dried (like if you leave it til the end of the day or the next day before washing), it's virtually impossible to remove.

This stick definitely helps, its lightens the stains a lot. It also smells great and is easy to use. I'll definitely keep using this stick for stain removal, but I don't think it works miracles like I was hoping! (Posted on 3/18/2012)
Kudos!Review by Erika Mikkalo
"Buncha Farmers" stain-removing stick not only removes monthly marks -- it also mitigates the wrath of coffee, chocolate, marinara, and red wine stains on natural and synthetic blend fabrics. Kudos! (Posted on 3/5/2012)
It really is an eraserReview by Emily
I ordered this last month when they were offering free shipping, and I'm amazed at what this little stick can do. Before I ordered, I was worried about the scent because I am a bit sensitive to some strong scents (though usually artificial ones), but the scent was only really strong when I put my nose to it. I can smell it when I'm using it, but not enough to bother me, and it doesn't stay with the clothes after washing. I actually like the scent. It reminds me of lemon verbena.

I usually use oxygen bleach on all of my stained clothes, but sometimes I don't have time to soak, and now I won't have to anymore. The stick got out blood, dirt, salsa, sweat/deodorant, and mystery stains easily! All I did was wet the stain, rub the stick on it, rub the fabric a bit, and then wash my clothes like normal. Everything came out as if the stains had never been there in the first place. Even my old, yellowing cami that I was almost going to toss soon came out beautifully. It didn't look brand new, but it definitely looked like it would look new if I washed it one more time after treating it with the stick. (Posted on 9/19/2011)
Magic Eraser!Review by Julie
I have a cream colored faux suede sofa...and children. Bad combination. In 8 months since we have had our new furniture, we have had to spot clean countless crayon, ball point pen, misc. food/drink stains. The cleaning kit that we got with the furniture is useless compared to BunchaFarmers stain stick. The furniture cleaning solution was messy to use and involved nearly an hour of scrubbing and then re-treatment the next day. I noticed, a few days ago, another such stain and avoided cleaning it because of all the hassle. Today it occurred to me to give this wonderful little stain stick a go on the sofa-IT WORKED AMAZINGLY! Very little scrubbing required, much like erasing pencil marks from paper. I have not yet used this on laundry stains but I can only imagine how incredible it will be for those jobs. (Posted on 9/19/2011)
Great ProductReview by Kris
I read the reviews and was so convinced that i purchased 2 of these sticks. Anyone with kids knows that stain removers are a must have for the laundry room. I went on a mission and this stick removed every stain i tried it on. I find the best advice is to WET the clothing first. Then rub in the stick until it lathers up on both sides of the clothing where the stain is. and also, it smells sooooooo good! (Posted on 9/17/2011)
Awesome!Review by Adica
I'm going to have to join the bandwagon and sing the praises of this little stain remover. I just used it on some soiled pads and underwear, and it worked wonderfully to take the blood right out, in some cases stains came out even before washing. I even used it on some other random stains on my regular laundry, and it worked great on those, too. I had a bunch of old white shirts that had some yellow staining on the underarms that I've tried remove many times before, and this removed the stains in one go. (Posted on 9/17/2011)
Works GreatReview by Mia
It gets tough stains out off my pads and I use it on other clothes as well. I'm not in love with the smell of the stick, but it's way better than using a clorox alternative! (Posted on 9/14/2011)
Awesome product!Review by Lindsay
I LOVE this product! My kids and I all have sensitive skin and a friend of mine recommended this cause other stain removers irritated! This takes out every stain that I have tried it on so far and it doesnt bug our skin! I'm passing it on to my sister who has 2 small kids and a few other friends of mine! (Posted on 9/14/2011)
It really works!Review by Amy Boulanger
This really freshens up your pads! It took any old stains I had out and made them look new again. I got one for my Nana who is constantly cleaning up blood from my Papa who seems to always injure himself and she is amazed! Works better then anything she's every tried. (Posted on 7/9/2011)
Fabulous!Review by Lyndsay Chae
This is the BEST stain remover EV-AR! It took my stains out of my pads, and liners and undies! AND, it removes gross kid stains too! This is so multipurpose in the laundry room! It even helps on grease stains. (Posted on 4/1/2011)

Lunapads How-to Guide

Reusable menstrual products are eco-friendly, money-saving, healthy alternatives to disposable pads and tampons. Lunapads will last well over 5 years with recommended use and care! While individual use may vary, we estimate that a single Lunapad replaces 120 disposable pads or tampons.

A Conversation about The DivaCup

There are lots of reasons to switch from tampons to The DivaCup; convenience, comfort, your health, the environment, financial savings & more. This first episode in our new video series shares the personal accounts of a group of DivaCup users, and explores what motivated each woman to try this innovative menstrual solution.

Why Switch to Lunapads?

Roughly 20 billion pads, tampons and applicators are sent to North American landfills annually. Each menstruating person in North America will throw away an estimated 16,800 disposable pads or tampons in their lifetime; products that require hundreds of years to biodegrade. Imagine the difference we could make if we chose to ditch the disposables.
